George’s is proud to be a sponsor for the 5k for Kelli on August 23rd. Last year was an amazing day with a great turnout and the event raised $8,500 for local charities. Please sign up to run or walk with us at www.speedy-feet.com or come into George’s to get a paper registration form. You can find more info on the event plus pictures from last year at www.facebook.com/5kforkelli Immediately following our event is the 4th Annual Hobbies for Hospice with remote control planes, boats, cars and garden scale trains. Admission is free and so is the food donated by George’s! August 23rd will be a great day to have fun with the whole family!
At George’s, our staff is just like family. Most of our employees have been with us over 5 years, some even over 15! It’s a great place to work with reasonable hours and good pay. We’re getting into nicer weather which means an increase in business so we would love to add some new members to our team. If you’re interested please stop by and fill out an application anytime.
George’s is the very proud sponsor of the first annual 5k for Kelli Run/Walk in honor and memory of Kelli James. Please come out and celebrate with us and help raise money for these great charities. Immediately following our event is the 3rd Annual Hobbies for Hospice. George’s is also a big sponsor…we donated all of the food! August 24th will be a great day to have fun with the whole family!
It might not look like it outside but spring has sprung! Head into George’s for one of our delicious salads. The Greek Salad has crumbled feta cheese and kalamata olives topped with our own homemade greek dressing. The Julienne has roast beef, ham, turkey, hard boiled eggs, swiss and american cheeses with your choice of dressing. Yum! We also offer a grilled chicken or broaster chicken strip salad all made with crisp lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cucumbers, and peppers. Stop by and see us soon!
Don’t forget we will be closed Easter Sunday so our staff can spend the holiday with their families. Hoppy Holiday!
Thank you to all of our customers for giving so generously during National Breast Cancer Awareness Month! With your help we raised over $1,200! We divided the donations between the Good Samaritan Breast Health Center and Making Strides Against Breast Cancer.
Your kindness and support is greatly appreciated!
Special thanks to our 50/50 Raffle Winner, Fred, who gave back half of his winnings…allowing us to donate an addition $271 to charity!
Thanks also to Lyn and Jerry Humston for donating the raffle basket and to April Breno for making all of the pink cupcakes!
George’s will be in the Northridge Parade on Sunday, October 7th at 2pm. We will be passing out our homemade brownie bites and carryout menus and coupons. Look for the smart car!
Because of the parade, North Dixie Drive will be closed off at 2pm so we will have to close early. We will lock our doors at 12:45 pm on Sunday the 7th. Sorry for any inconvenience this might cause but we hope you can come and see us in the parade!
